“Surfers of Bulleji” is a raw, intimate portrait of a group of self-taught fishermen-turned-surfers living on the remote coastline near Karachi, Pakistan. Despite living in poverty, these young men have become local legends in the surf community, riding waves on makeshift boards, often repaired more times than you can count.
What sets them apart is not just their skill, but their resilience. With no access to professional gear, formal coaching, or institutional support, they continue to chase their dream: to one day represent Pakistan in the Olympics. But without recognition, resources, or a national surfing federation to back them, that dream remains painfully out of reach.
This documentary doesn't just tell their story, it demands that it be seen. It is a call for recognition, for dignity, and for opportunity. These athletes deserve more than admiration; they deserve a chance.
